Arts and Crafts market, Accra – Softly, softly

I was only here for a few minutes but just want to say a little about it. First of all if you love souvenirs you are going to love this place. If you have just been to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park then you will this place literally next door.

This place sells jut about everything from traditional woven kente cloth to artwork to jewelry to wooden sculptures. The array of goods is endless. The store holders are super friendly and will certainly jostle for your attention. You might find it just a little bit overwhelming. You hear this quite often about large markets, especially in African countries. . I can’t help feeling that if they took a more softly softly approach it would have huge benefits. Just saying! Loved this lady though and she even gave me a free bracelet.
