I stayed at the Agoo Hostel in Accra

I stayed at this hostel no less than four times. You would think they would have got fed up with me but each time I came back the welcome was as friendly as the first time. The staff especially Lizzie and Richard are super friendly.

The rooms are spotless and comfortable. I stayed in a double when i first arrived, however dwindling finances later forced me into an 8 room female dormitory. I had no complaints.

The bathrooms are shared but this was never an issue. The all important air conditioner was thankfully fully functioning. The Breakfast served every morning from 730 was varied and I was a glutton for the fresh fruit salad. You can easily see why!

There are also some good options for lunch and dinner, especially some traditional Ghanaian dishes. The kitchen staff are also very friendly. There is a lovely garden

and a lounge with a TV.

I was also super relieved to discover there is a same day laundry service. I can’t really say anything bad about this friendly hostel except it was hard for me to forgive Richard for being a Barcelona supporter. Just kidding!

Tinyteddy’s comments: “Honestly we turned up here like a couple of bad pennies no less that four times but I think they rather liked us; I got toast and tea for my breakfast every morning. Bliss!”
