I stayed at the Hotel Green Manor IV – it ticked all the boxes.
I couldn’t have made a better choice. This charming Hotel is in a central location on Victoria Island It literally ticked all the boxes. For starters the hotel is in a small complex with 24 hour security and bars on all the windows. The mahogany door was partiularily stunning until I was told it was made of steel. The room was huge and the bed was super comfy.
The girls on reception are both super friendly and helpful. They never allowed me to go out after dark (not recommended for tourists). The air conditioning in steamy Lagos was wonderful. The cable TV provided some good channels and the wifi was almost alway fully functioning.
Check out the delicious breakfast. All you have to do is tell them the night before what time you want to eat and voila! Tinyteddy was thrilled with his staple of toast and tea.
It was spotlessy clean and the shower was always hot. The spare toilet role sits in a rather Iimpressive spot.
Most important at about $42 a night it is really great value. Another rather quirky touch was the phone in the middle of the hedge.
Tinyteddy’s feedback: “First of all I want to make it clear that I did not appreciate being photographed in bed. Heaven knows what a fright I must have looked. Ok that’s my rant over so… This was my first experience of staying in a hotel. I was very happy here. In fact was rather reluctant to leave. Never slept so well in my life and the tea and toast for breakfast was perfect for me.”
