Señor tinyteddy

  1. It’s no coincidence tinyteddy and I find ourselves in Argentina, the second largest country in South America. We are planning to make a very long road trip in the Americas but more about that in the future. For now we understand the need to learn Spanish to at least a very basic level and with some hard work maybe even better than that. To this end we thought It prudent to enroll for a Spanish course in Argentina.

We decided to use Academia Buenos Aires. From the first moment of contact with the facility and especially the patience of Cara we were all set. This language school has 3 options to choose from; Buenos Aires, Bariloche and Montevideo. We spent our first week at La Montana in Bariloche, which is a parent school, just for the experience.

It was an excellent choice, not just for the beauty of this Patagonian city, surrounded by lakes and the Andes mountains but also for the Academy director Veronica who will assist you with just about any issue you may have, especially when it comes to the Argentinian economy.

The classes are small (we were an awesome group of 5) and the lessons were a good combination of vocabulary, grammar, role play and some great games.

We were all enamoured with our teacher Julia who kept us on our toes and tinyteddy had another case of unrequited love unless there is something I don’t know about. He will have his say at the end. We have now moved to Buenos Aires where we are continuing or course with Alberto. The classes are for 4 hours and several times a week they will provide extra curriculum activities.  If you would like more details of the courses on offer please click here.

Tinyteddys feedback; “Look it’s all nonsense about me and Julia, although between you and me the first time she called me señor tinyteddy I was a teensy weensy bit smitten”
